Our story

Born in the Namib, run by people who live here

People’s Tour & Safaris was founded in 2018 by two brothers; Albin and Fanuel Sakeus. Inspired by a lifetime spent exploring Namibia and a deep knowledge of its parks and people, we set out to run honest, tailor-made safaris from the ground up.

Founded by Albin Sakeus, who is a native and fell in love with guiding across Namibia since childhood before starting the company, alongside Fanuel Sakeus.

What began as a single guided vehicle out of Windhoek grew, through word of mouth, into a full local team designing trips across the region.

Today we design 100+ tailor-made journeys a year, with most of our business coming from repeat guests and their referrals.

Where we go

Across Southern Africa

Namibia Landscape Wildlife
Featured Destination

Namibia

Many people call Namibia 'Africa for beginners', and it is a great place to start. At Sossusvlei, the red sand dunes rise up to 325 metres above the pan floor. Close by is Deadvlei, a white clay pan with old, dead camel-thorn trees standing against white clay and orange sand. It is the most photographed view in the Namib-Naukluft. Add the water holes of Etosha and the wild Skeleton Coast, and you have a first safari that is hard to beat.

Botswana Okavango Delta
Featured Destination

Botswana

From the lush, labyrinthine channels of the Okavango Delta to the massive elephant herds of Chobe National Park, Botswana offers an unmatched, pristine wilderness experience. Explore untouched delta waters by traditional mokoro or watch predators track game across the stark Makgadikgadi Salt Pans.

Victoria Falls Zimbabwe
Featured Destination

Zimbabwe

Home to the thunderous smoke of Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe pairs dramatic geological wonders with deep heritage. Track rhinos on foot in Matobo Hills, view prolific wildlife along the Zambezi River in Mana Pools, or explore the architectural ruins of Great Zimbabwe.

Zambia Walking Safari
Featured Destination

Zambia

Known as the birthplace of the legendary walking safari, Zambia is the choice destination for deep safari purists. Experience up-close wildlife encounters in South Luangwa National Park, canoe past pods of hippos in the Lower Zambezi, or stand at the edge of the curtain of Victoria Falls.

Angola Walking Safari
Featured Destination

Angola

Angola is one of Africa's last great unknowns. See the huge Kalandula Falls, the desert meeting the sea in the south, the lively seaside capital of Luanda, and the old Kongo kingdom city of M'banza-Kongo. We are a local team, and we plan each Angola trip and holiday around you.

South Africa Cape Town Table Mountain
Featured Destination

South Africa

A spectacular world in one country. Combine the unmatched, top-tier Big Five game viewing of Greater Kruger National Park with the cosmopolitan energy of Cape Town, world-class historic wine estates in Stellenbosch, and the pristine coastal scenery of the Garden Route.

East Africa Serengeti Migration
Featured Destination

East Africa

Witness the grand theatre of the natural world. Experience the thunderous Great Migration plains of the Serengeti and Masai Mara, climb the majestic slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro, or trek into lush rainforests for unforgettable close encounters with mountain gorillas.

Yes. We are registered with the Namibia Tourism Board (NTB Licence #TSO01229) and are members of TOSCO (Tourism Supporting Conservation). Our licence and membership details appear on every quote.

We are the operator, not a marketplace. The same local team that answers your enquiry plans, your itinerary and guides you on the ground, so the knowledge and accountability stay in one place.

Namibia is our home and speciality, but we also design trips to Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Angola, South Africa and East Africa (Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya and Tanzania), often combined with a Namibian leg.

Every trip comes with written terms, an itemised quote with no hidden costs, and a clear deposit and cancellation policy agreed before you pay. A real member of our team is on call throughout your journey.
